Baby,

"Baby baby baby ohhhohh", this song plays as I log on blog spot... Pretty good song, less the fact that singer Justin is more provocative in his MV with tugging of clothes of a girl and being pretty daring approaching the girl...

Well, I digressed. This post is supposedly for a somewhat funny incident that happened to me when I visit the clinic one morning... Somehow after a near choke incident I had 2 days ago and having to cough from an itchy throat for the next few days, I thought I may have an infection and it may have something to do with the rice I choked on earlier. (WHAT RICEEEE?!?!?!) I kn0W, fish bone or fish ball is more likely the possibility to visit the clinic for it...

After waiting for sometime at the clinic, my student smsed me and ask if I'm alright. Apparently he was pretty shocked that I choked on rice!, fish bone sounds way cooler as he sneered... Somehow I had to get professional advice so I waited patiently for my turn.

Entering the doctor's room, she greeted me and posture me to take a sit

D: "Whats wrong with you" as she said gently..

M: "I choked two days ago and now I keep coughing, do you think rice is the culprit?"

D: "You mean fish bone, you choked on fish bone??"

M: "No, I hadn't any fish bone, I was eating rice with vegetables..."

D: "Let me feel your throat, does it hurt, here, there??"

M: "Uh uh"

D: "OK, our body mechanism on pushing foreign particles off the windpipe is pretty good, what we are worried is that the rice gets stuck in your throat"

D: "Its unlikely that rice gets stuck in the windpipe... I haven't heard of any case like this!!!"

M: "Well, I heard of someone that has this happening to her..."

D: "Huhhhhh, I think its really quite hard, if rice really got in your windpipe, then you very suay (unlucky slang) lor... Its your luck, nothing can be done for that..."

D: " I have never heard of that case, look, I have practicing medicine for like ???, I just tell you I never heard of it" (She looks 28 or so, how many years have she been practicing???)

D: "Fish bone is more like it, the rice may have braised your throat, causing your cough. If rice really gets stuck there, then there's nothing we can do. What we can do is just pray (She guestured the praying sign)".

I find it humorous as she tells me all this without battling her eyelid! I can see she is trying to be concern and astonished with whats happening. What a joke I think has been made out of it! Probably this would become a lunchtime entertainment with her colleagues later on...Well, I got some cough tablets later on to ease coughing...

This post is meant to be for laughs, no pun intended!!!
